We Had a BABY!!

Carter Craig Letzelter
March 20th 12:24 AM
6lbs 12oz and 19inches

We are so happy to have this sweet little guy in our family. After another horrible delivery we are so happy to be home and safe and healthy. Here is the timeline...
2pm: Contracting but not strong or super consistent.
2-4pm:Lay down and take a bath maybe they will go away.
4:30pm: Call Dr. He tells me to wait a few hours and see if they go away.
5 pm: I call my Mom and tell her that she better get on the road. I also called Jared and told him that I thought it was the real deal but to finish working and we would go after.
6pm: Contractions become painful and super strong.
7:15pm: Take the kids to our neighbor so I can get my stuff together and take a shower.(ha ha what was I thinking taking a shower and doing my hair)
7:45pm: Jared comes home and I stupidly eat dinner.
8:45pm: We go to the hospital. Contractions were 2.5mins apart and strong yet I wasn't dilated at all.
9:15pm: My parents and sister come. My Doctor decides that because I wasn't progressing he would try to stop the labor.(NEWSFLASH!! That is why I have C-sections)
9:30-9:45pm Massive amounts of fluids and medicine is pumped into me to get the labor to stop.
10:15-11:15 Labor is going again but this time the contractions were twice as strong!
11:00- Dr and Labor and Delivery nurse have a very "strong" conversation on the phone.
11:15-Dr comes to the hospital. He came into the room and started yelling at my mom while I was in the bathroom then he started in on me when I got out. His argument is that I wasn't progressing so I wasn't really in labor. (NEWSFLASH!! I Don't Progress!!) Finally he said that he would do the c-section.
11:35 I WALKED myself to the operating room and we got started. When I got my epidural and laid down I started having a horrible head ache and started throwing up. They finally brought Jared and my Mom in with me. The pain in my head moved from the back of my neck all around my head.
12:24 am Carter was born. Our big fear was that he was going to have to go to the NICU like Brady did. Carter started screaming like crazy easing all of our fears.

All in All it was a good time that I hope not to have to go through again.

We are all doing a lot better and each day I feel like I am live! I am sorry this is so late but better late then never. We all have pix on our phones but not our camera. So I will get more pix later.

Lindsay! I am so sorry to hear about all of that horrible-ness, but oh-so-happy for your family. What a sweet little one! All my best for a speedy recovery. I hope you're feeling great already. :)

Somehow I missed this when you posted it. But I'm glad to hear that you are starting to feel better and recovering. Hang in there and let me know how it goes with three kids. I'm a little scared. And what a butthole doctor! Seriously!

I can't believe after your first not-so-great delivery, that you've done it two more times! Sorry that your little body doesn't progress, and that you have to deal with grumpy doctors. It's worth it in the end, though...what a handsome little guy! Congratulations!!!

I am so glad that he is here and that you are done with the deliver. That sounds pretty "exciting".

I know I am reading this way after the fact, but YIKES what an experience! what an awful doc. Carter is so super cute! Good thing babies are worth it all.
